Bandpass filter design

Note: This circuit is part of the IR detector circuit.
After we tried the “Active first order band pass filter” found on Phys 253 course website, we were not satisfied by the result (noise level still too high).


Then we found an online bandpass filter calculator (http://www.wa4dsy.net/robot/bandpass-filter-calc).
The following design is what we ultimately used.

This filter works extremely well in our IR detectors (both 1k Hz and 10k Hz). Noise level is almost reduced to zero.
